Profile Originally hailing from Morgantown, West Virginia, Dr. Sausen is a proud Mountaineer at heart. Her academic journey began at WVU, where she earned her bachelor's degree in 2005, laying the groundwork for her future in veterinary medicine. It was during her time at Tuskegee University that she forged a lifelong friendship with Dr. Tara Cumley and obtained her DVM in 2009, solidifying her passion for animal care and welfare. In addition to her loving husband and daughter, Dr. Sausen's family includes two cherished canine companions, who bring joy and warmth to their home. Joining the Animal Health Clinic in 2014, she has continuously exemplified excellence in veterinary care, fostering a compassionate and stress-free environment for her patients.
